Got a notice for a recall for my Hyundia. A year later the recall fix was finally ready. Called the dealer to schedule the fix for the recall. I received 2 reminder text for the service. I had a 7:15 am appointment. When I arrived the service advisor said they did not have the parts for the recall. I made it clear, when making the appointment, that I was coming in for the recall. I have purchased two vehicles from John Amato Hyundai and have been very pleased both times. Staff have been very pleasant to work with both times, especially the first time when I was in a tougher financial spot then I am now.
I had a simple request and that was to get the price on a vehicle that was listed on cars.com. It was anything but simple in getting an answer. Prior to providing me the price, they needed to know my name, phone number and also asked for my email. After sharing some of that information with them, it was determined that they did NOT have the vehicle and it was at another location they owned.

A great experience until I signed the paperwork. The car stink of cigar smoke which I was told would be taken care of...then after I closed the deal I'm told there is only one fob. This will cost me $500 to fix. But the worst part is- they don't return phone calls. Horrible-very disappointed with this dealership
Amato had my truck from 7/28-9/18 Then I had to return my truck from 9/28-10/2/23 for a new engine. I have lost my job, I have paid thousands of dollars in rental car fees. My truck is in worst condition then when I drop the truck off. I regret getting any vehicle from Amato. My life has been a living nightmare not knowing if my truck can get my family to and from.
I have never been anything but well pleased with the service I've gotten at John Amato Hyundai. My appointments were always scheduled quickly and at a time convenient for me. The shuttle service is excellent and even when I had a trivial problem, they had me come right down and they fixed it. This is the best dealership I've ever worked with.
Amato wanted to charge me $180 for a 4 wheel alignment when they had the service special on their site for $110. They said the site was wrong and would take the special down immediately but gave me the alignment for the special rate. 3 days later their site still had the alignment for $110. Steering wheel was not made straight. They told me there was nothing they could do about it.
Very nice on everything that they did they waited on me they got me done in-and-out.
A great experiencing signing onto a new car lease in May 2023. Our sales manager, Peter, was incredibly responsive over email and a delight to work with in person. We we were able to work out 90% of the details of the deal before even stepping foot in the dealership. For that last (and dare I say most important) 10% we had the pleasure of working with Phoenix. Except sales person the entire team was not helpful. Finance manager was disrespectful and insulting, sales manager was hand in glove and he did not care what customer is trying to say. Over all I purchased from them cause my bank made the check and I did not have to go back there again…. So there are better places to buy car please do not wast you money time and respect by going there

The service department lacks a customer focus. After blowing through 2 promises to complete the needed repairs without any apology I got a 3rd promise for a few more days. I guess anything more complicated than an oil change takes 2 weeks to complete. I am a dissatisfied customer, but they don't care. So I will find another service provider.

I came in for an oil change and a light replacement. After waiting 2 hours the man came to me and said that they couldn’t fix my light and they needed to do more diagnostic which would be $75 more dollars. It wasn’t about the $75. We bought a new Hyundai Tucson Hybrid recently and were very pleased by the buying experience. There was no push and arguments about adding on dealer applied extras, just here is the price and how do you want to pay for it. I think we got a good trade-in price but I did my research before visiting them and they more than matched the highest offer I received. The whole transaction was over in less than 2 hours.

I was quoted a price online when I got there I was told this is the price of a oil change. I actually had pull up the coupon to show what online had. At least a day or two after my last oil change I got a free oil change which made no since and it’s not in the system as a credit. Do better!
They didn’t even try to find my warranty, just wanted to take my money. Didn’t even ask for it either.

Was sold a Hyundai certified vehicle, and I was told that the only damage was a door ding. After a couple of days with the vehicle, I have found fire damage to the vehicle. The dealership said that it is a cosmetic issue, when clearly the fire could have caused damage behind panels, which they will not inspect.

This dealership is horrible. Sales says things that are not true and the service department is a total nightmare. I could have been killed in my 2017 Elantra when the power kept dropping on the highway in heavy rush hour traffic as it was misfiring on two cylinders. WHY because service never updated the computer. Found out when I took it to a different dealership after wasting a month trying to get it repaired at Amato.

This is my second Elantra...the other was 10 years old. I never had issues with it and always brought it in to Amati for routine maintenance. Service was always prompt it I waited or needed a ride home...it was done when they said it would be done. I also like the warranty and came back for it. And they had a pretty blue that I really liked.
Damage for the return policy is too strict.curb rash was minor for three year lease. I washed my car every week, waxed it once a month there should be no damage other than a little curb rash on the wheel covers.
